The Promise Plan: A Level Payment Program
No one ever wants to deal with bulky fuel bills and fluctuating prices. The experts at PepUp understand how much of a burden, financial or otherwise, that can be. That is why we are proud to offer a level payment program to relieve the stress of unpredictable winter fuel bills. The Promise Plan allows you to spread your annual propane, heating oil, or kerosene costs into equal monthly payments over the plan year.

Stay cozy and worry-free all winter long, knowing your per-gallon price is set at enrollment and protected all season.
PepUp provides affordable propane, heating oil, and kerosene prices across the Delmarva Peninsula in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
*$100 credit is only available to Promise Plan customers. Non-Promise Plan Automatic Delivery customers receive a $50 account credit if we accidentally let you run out of fuel.
We put in a new gas fireplace at our home and our plumber recommended George Burkhead from PepUp. George was GREAT – he was helpful with advice, showed up on time, responded to emails, was able to do the paperwork 100% electronically, and things turned out as expected. Also, having used their service as a normal delivery customer for a few years now, it is also very good, prices are reasonable, service at home is convenient and reliable, and the customer service is good. After about 5 years of service we had a few small adjustments needed and they quickly got someone over and fixed things for us. Overall a great local company and highly recommended.
I have been using PepUp for about 4 years to fill and service my propane powered fireplace. I used them because all of my neighbors were using them. They have been doing a great job so far. They always make sure my tank is topped off for the season and they are careful to close my gate when leaving. Would recommend them for ease and convenience.
Great customer service and work. Highly recommend them for your propane needs.
Polite and very thorough. Job well done.
PepUp is quick to respond to service calls. The service tech was professional and courteous.
Price Protection
Price Protection is available to any PepUp customer, whether or not you are enrolled in The Promise Plan. A small annual enrollment fee sets your price cap at your per-gallon rate at the time of enrollment, covering the first 600 gallons you purchase. A small per-gallon fee applies to gallons beyond 600. That means your price per gallon will not go above your capped rate during the enrollment period. If fuel prices drop below your capped price, you will pay the lower rate. Either way, you have both upside and downside protection.
Be sure to ask our team at PepUp about Price Protection and how it can work for your fuel account.*
*For Promise Plan customers, the annual enrollment fee is rolled into your monthly payments. Any fuel purchased beyond your estimated annual gallons will be billed at the market price on the date of delivery. For customers not enrolled in The Promise Plan, the annual enrollment fee is billed separately, and fuel deliveries are billed at the time of each delivery.
Pre-Buy Your Fuel
This option allows you to purchase a specific quantity of gallons before the heating season at a pre-season discounted rate. Pre-Buy is typically one of the most competitive pricing options PepUp offers, since gallons are secured and paid for before peak-season demand drives prices higher. Pre-Buy requires full payment for all gallons ordered at the time of purchase.
Pre-Buy enrollment opens annually when fuel prices are at their lowest point of the year. Our team at PepUp will be glad to answer any questions you might have about Pre-Buy pricing and availability. Contact or visit us today.
Standard Delivery / Will-Call
Not ready to commit to a plan? Will-Call delivery is available for customers who prefer to order fuel on their own schedule. You request a delivery when you need it and pay the market rate for your fuel on the date of delivery. There are no plan commitments and no annual fees.
Fees to know for Will-Call customers:
Propane customers who run out of fuel before requesting a delivery are subject to an Unplug and Leak Test Fee of $125 during business hours or $275 after hours. The after-hours rate includes the delivery charge.
Heating oil customers whose tank runs out may be charged a Restart Fee of $50 if the driver must bleed the line.
A same-day or out-of-route Delivery Charge of $85 during business hours or $125 after hours applies to deliveries outside the standard scheduled route.

Switching to PepUp
Switching your propane or heating oil service to PepUp is straightforward. PepUp fills customer-owned tanks, so you can switch without replacing your existing equipment. PepUp-leased tanks are also available for customers who prefer not to maintain their own tanks.
If you currently lease your tank from another provider, the timeline for your first PepUp delivery will depend on technician availability, seasonal scheduling, and the time it takes to use down the fuel remaining in your current tank. PepUp will work with you to coordinate the switch so your prior provider can pick up their equipment without leaving you without fuel during the transition, and so you don’t lose any money on fuel still in your tank.
If you own your tank, your first delivery can be scheduled as soon as your account is set up and a technician has completed the Transfer and Gas Check. A Tank Set Fee of $85 per location and a Gas Check Fee of $65 per location apply to new installations and leased tank setups. Visit our specials page or call 800-638-7802 to ask about current offers.
Payment Plans FAQs
PepUp customers often have questions about our payment plans and how they can be used to manage propane prices and home energy budgets. Call or send us a message if you have a question that we haven’t yet addressed. We want to make sure our customers are well informed!
The Promise Plan is a level payment program that spreads your annual fuel costs into equal monthly payments. Price Protection is an optional add-on that caps your per-gallon rate at the time of enrollment for the first 600 gallons. A small per-gallon fee applies after 600 gallons. If fuel prices drop below your capped rate, you pay the lower price.
The Promise Plan and Price Protection can be combined, or Price Protection can be added without The Promise Plan. Customers who add Price Protection without The Promise Plan are billed at the time of each delivery and pay the annual enrollment fee upfront.

Any gallons beyond your pre-bought quantity are billed at the market rate on the date of that delivery. If you use fewer gallons than you purchased, the dollar value of the unused gallons can be applied to future purchases or refunded to you. Unused gallons do not carry over to the following year.

Automatic Delivery is an opt-in service available at no additional charge. PepUp schedules deliveries based on your estimated annual fuel usage and delivery history. You can also opt in to wireless tank monitoring for more precise scheduling based on real-time tank levels.
With Automatic Delivery, you do not need to check your tank or call to request a delivery. Automatic Delivery customers are covered by the “No Run Out” Guarantee: a $100 account credit for Promise Plan customers and a $50 account credit for non-Promise Plan customers if we accidentally let you run out of propane.
Propane prices per gallon on the Eastern Shore change depending on season and several other factors that influence cost per gallon pricing. Generally, you can expect to pay between $2.50 and $4 per gallon for home delivery.
PepUp frequently offers discounts on first tank fills for new customers. The Promise Plan is also a great way to better budget for propane price fluctuations by spreading them out over a year. Use the form on this page to learn more about the Promise Plan.
PepUp offers Automatic Delivery with a “No Run Out” Guarantee as an opt-in service for propane, heating oil, and kerosene customers. Deliveries are scheduled based on your estimated annual usage, and you can also opt in to wireless tank monitoring for real-time tank level tracking.
Propane companies use an “expected use” formula to schedule deliveries. Since your propane usage patterns can change depending on the weather, guests or gatherings in your home, inefficient appliances, and a number of other factors, you may instead want to opt for a tank monitor. PepUp offers the use of small wireless devices to monitor your tank levels. It’s a more precise way to know for sure what your tank levels are, and won’t leave you on empty when it’s cold outside.
You should be able to request pricing and contract terms by directly contacting local propane providers, asking for detailed quotes, and inquiring about any promotions or discounts. We also recommend you request a full explanation of any fees or terms associated with their service for a comprehensive comparison.

Propane companies often offer new customer specials that are influenced by seasonality, with promotions peaking during off-peak seasons like summer when demand is lower. Local pricing variations and competitive market trends also impact these specials, as providers aim to attract customers with rates that are attractive yet reflective of regional costs.
PepUp often offers new customer incentives like discounted or free first fill, equipment installation deals, referral offers, and other limited-time specials. Payment plans that help our customers plan and pay for propane make home energy more affordable, and are always available.
You can estimate your annual propane consumption using this handy guide. Factoring in the efficiency of propane appliances and average annual heating days creates a budget that can help you choose the right propane tank size, budget for propane use, and decide which payment plan is right for you.
Propane efficiency and consumption are influenced by factors such as your home’s insulation quality, the efficiency rating of your furnace or heating system, the temperature setting of your thermostat, the outside temperature and weather conditions, and the overall square footage and design of your home. Here’s how you calculate how much propane your home should be using each year. If your consumption is considerably higher, it may be time to investigate inefficient insulation, appliances, or practices in your home.
Adding propane appliances can also increase your usage. If you think your existing appliances are inefficient, here are a few tips about selecting propane appliances that use less propane and can help lower your annual home energy costs. The Mid Atlantic Propane Gas Association also offers rebates for qualifying installations of propane appliances. Apply for these rebates anytime you upgrade your propane-powered appliances.
Manage your propane bills by signing up for a payment plan through PepUp.
